Udaipur, the city of India Romatica
Also known as the City of Lakes, Udaipur was my first stop in the region of Rajasthan when I traveled to India in 2008. He had found a flight offer to Bombay, our first stop in the country, which was pretty big shock: a megacity with over 18 million people had a city of small buildings and paved streets Avg. In fact, walking around its oldest part, you'd think we were in a quiet village.
First impressions were all positive. I was delighted meteocentrale with the atmosphere in the city. The street food stalls with friendly vendors. Striking sadhus at the door of many of the temples. The "namaste" all I offered with a grin on his face. The curiosity of most locals to see, although they are more than used to welcome travelers.
And, considering that each year more than 6 million people visit Rajasthan, meteocentrale it is no wonder that many of them do stop in this beautiful city. The rest comes by itself: meteocentrale to wander for a few hours in Udaipur, meteocentrale one is in love. Normal: her beauty is amazing. In fact, it is considered the most romantic city in India.
But if, as I have said, he was known as the city of lakes, is about something. Up to four different Udaipur bathe at different points. The master of all, Pichola, is located right in the city center. It is in your area to the east where it is located one of the most beautiful palaces, known as the City Palace.
It is the largest palace in Rajasthan and all construction was initiated by the city founder, Maharana Udai Singh II. However many other Maharanas and maharajas came after him and were adding new spaces to the palace. Still, keep harmony in their construction surprises.
Packed with balconies, towers and stupas, called attention to the breathtaking views of the lake can be enjoyed from him. It's easy to take a full morning for missing dependencies meteocentrale and hallways. And, if you like, you can also visit the museum which includes therein.
In the middle of Lake Pichola, there are two islands. One is the Jagniwas and other Jagmandir. The first one was built in 1754, a palace became the summer residence of the Maharaja Jagat Singh II. Currently the building is nothing but one of the most luxurious hotels in the world.
In the second, the Maharaja Karan Singh had built a palace in 1620. It is said that it was precisely here where Emperor Shah Jahan, after staying in it, was inspired to create one of the most beautiful buildings around the world, the Taj Mahal.
But a visit to Udaipur supposed not only to view and visit its palaces. The city has much more to offer. Like, for example, the Jagidsh Mandir, one of the Hindu temples in the city. Created in 1651, this sanctuary attracted me, especially for life that found him. A large staircase leading to the front door where your shoes is mandatory. Next to it is easy to find many sadhus, dressed in their gaudy robes and their faces painted, while sitting chatting meteocentrale amicably. Photograph supposed to keep a memory is a whole punch.
A visit inside the temple meteocentrale lets learn a little more about the Hindu religion. It is very common for someone meteocentrale to approach offered as a guide. Whether while you walk around the temple, the city, or anywhere else in the city.
My traveling companion, Charo, and I encourage us to move away a bit of Udaipur and moved to the Monsoon Palace, meteocentrale a few kilometers from the city. Built by Maharaja Sajjan Singh and located on top of a mountain, looks more like a fairytale castle that it really is a palace abandoned. Nature has taken over the place and monkeys roam freely throughout the area. We must be careful not to bring any food or drink: monkeys are of considerable size and will not hesitate to fight for food if they smell!
The palace was built in the nineteenth century and was used as an observatory and even as lodging for hunting in the mountains. It is worth a visit, especially if you go to a high place to watch the sunset over Lake Pichola.
But I have to admit that what I like to do when I visit a new city is to walk through its streets. Do in Udaipur, especially for its old part, is quite an experience. I still remember the moment when we suddenly meteocentrale find, down a narrow street, with an elephant led by a teenager climbed on his back. I think I was so impressed that not even occurred meteocentrale to me to take the camera and take a picture ...

But you know, the reality is not so scary, yes, madhouse and bustle as in any Asian metropolis, yes

I put off this very long post, so do not even know where and how to begin to tell you about India. If you look at my instagram, you already know that I am from India long-gone first in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and Georgetown, and then to Thailand, Krabi. And now I'm writing this post in my favorite Bangkok. In India, I was only 3 weeks and this terribly malo.Deli-Udaipur-Mumbai-Goa-Palolem in Varkala in Kerala, Kochi ..... But I saw a completely different side of her, and I loved every one of them. I flew from Kathmandu to Delhi, this city scared me for a long time and almost machu picchu everyone I know or read.
So in my head spun horrific machu picchu stories machu picchu about trash, dirt, people defecate in the street, total unsanitary and deadly disease that will surely overtake you, if you will brush your teeth with tap water, there is a street eatery, drinking in the local tea masala and, God forbid, juices and ice.
But you know, the reality is not so scary, yes, madhouse and bustle as in any Asian metropolis, yes, oochen crowded, but still a lot depends on your mood and the perception machu picchu of reality.
The only thing that really bothered me was unnerving and the first days in Delhi is a man's views, every minute, from all sides dozens of eyes unblinking look at you, and some try to touch, I immediately wanted to wrap myself in anything from head to toe. And the feeling was only in Delhi and other cities were very comfortable.
I'm not very interested in tourist places, I go there just for show, as happened with the Red Fort and a mosque, a cursory inspection, I immediately rushed to the streets of Old Delhi, which is about the color read in different blogs and guidebooks, there is certainly a brand Indian madhouse, machu picchu markets, colorful saris, rolls with hundreds of meters of fabrics, street stalls with absolutely incomprehensible thing, but it is in these places you can see the real face of the city, his mood, his pulse. And there was a restaurant Karim my first acquaintance with Indian cuisine, and in my life and vocabulary suddenly settled down cheese machu picchu naan, tandoori roti, aloo paratha and all other divine cakes, filled and unfilled, cheese, butter, potatoes, garlic ......
And the first Indian cinema (and quite decent ;) and last masterpiece of Bollywood cinema :) with the poetic name of Ram and Leela. And the first violation of the commandment about the ban street food and brushing your teeth in bottled water.
Lace, as if to porcelain palaces of amazing beauty, which lie on the hilly terrain of Rajasthan, winding streets, boating on Lake Pichola, hotels in the former havelis (mansions so called northern India) with incredible frescoes on the walls .... Probably just such I've always wanted to see India-rich fabulous country with elephants, silks, precious stones and Maharajas ....
Another overnight machu picchu train took me to Bombay, to tell you about it next time ..... Already flying machu picchu away from Kerala, from the south, uncle at passport control still could not let me:-Where are flying? In-Kuala Lumpur-And then? Then-Thailand-A show ticket? -I go on the bus. -Hmm .. I you know that if you fly away now, in India, this visa will not be able to come back,? -I know, of course, there are written single entry-And machu picchu write a receipt confirming that will not be back anytime soon. Interrogative pause .... I still flew signing everything you need and more time thinking: It is necessary, as we got the poor Indians, not only that now give a visa for 2 months instead of 6 (for Ukrainians at least), so still and so much of any complexities-papers-napridumyvali profiles. machu picchu But uncle at the border did not know that I'm in love, and once again in another country :) but on my card has another tick where I will be going back again and again, no matter machu picchu what.
Current rose, poured coffee, went to my computer and saw the post. Not even woke up to the end ... Read up to "a lot depends on your mood and the perception of reality" and - everything! It is the quintessence of the training that needs to be done before you go to India!
similarly, only remembered the morning - have not had posts from Julia (for inst-not follow me there) machu picchu and here it is a post about India, and I hooked machu picchu up photos even more entrenched in their desire to travel to this country (although it is necessary to obtain a visa) !
Impressed deluxe hotel in Delhi :) remaining photos are beautiful and very atmospheric. Outfit suits you, Yul! What book about India, historical or more as a guide? In Delhi, I probably would not risk itself, only reliable man ....
Udaipur loved! I would like to see it live) you certainly brave, walk on such slums)) go know that there is around the corner!))) for some reason I'm afraid of India, though it was very interesting to go there) Yul, and with whom you travel ?

Built on the banks of the Pichola Lake, City Palace in Udaipur is huge. Actually it is one of the biggest palace in Rajasthan. And is the staple in every visitor s itinerary. Everybody goes there and hence, be ready to brave the crowded alleys neuschwanstein castle and jharokas while touring the palace. To us, it wasn t really spectacular. It has the usual display of paintings depicting the life and times of the Rajput rule in erstwhile Mewar; the royal armouries; rooms embellished with murals, glasses; numerous smaller Mahals within the bigger Palace; the collection of coins, utensils, clothings, upholstery. After every second room, you have to cross a narrow alley or take long narrow flight of stairs. No way you can take a stroller there. If you have a baby in your arms, God bless you. The complete tour will definitely burn a few hundred calories. neuschwanstein castle Our little one braved the complete tour, but at the end of it, declared she wouldn t walk anymore. After 5 hours by car to travel the 280km separating us from Jodhpur, we finally reached the beautiful Udaipur, the capital of the former kingdom of Mewar (Land of death). It is a lovely town, quieter than Jodhpur, where the majestic buildings Maharajas of Mewar erected in the twelfth century overlook the shores of Lake Pichola. Watch the sunset from one of the roofs of the city is impressive.
The driver dropped us off at the hotel's turistada playing in this city, which fortunately is located along the main monument: City Palace (City Palace) and, in fact, I think from the terrace of this hotel You can enjoy the best views of the whole city (something positive had to have turistada !)
The center is not very big and you have to walk with eye not to step one of the many cow poop, but walk among the narrow alleys architecture, music, the smell of spices and sweets, colorful martinique sarees, workshops artisans, bells and prayers emanating from the temples ... it's very inspiring.
A morning spent visiting the City Palace, the entrance are 115R (1,37 ) + 225R (2.68 ) per camera, another thing that seems incongruous, so we said we had no camera. The City Palace of Udaipur it does not do much to control photos martinique inside (if you have not paid), especially in the coolest areas, martinique but the truth is that the best of the palace is the exterior, although we made a few " stolen, it is not a big loss if you do not get any instant.
From here there are good views of the Palace White Palace (White Palace), an immaculate palace that seems to breathe out from the bottom of Lake Pichola. Cerquita Hotel is also the Jagdish Temple, where every night you can witness the prayer session of devotees.
In addition to the rides and architecture martinique in Udaipur India continue enjoying the food, varied, delicious and a paradise for vegetarians. We tried a couple of local sites and the odd tourist site, asking things of random letter did not know what they were, but it's hard not to hit, everything is delicious. Yes, in India do not expect to be hungry to go to a restaurant because they usually take, sometimes a lot (1 've come to expect).
This city is also a nice pass ... it's so ... typical movie! The truth is that those colors and that magic is transmitted through the images martinique ... should be lovely. I leave you to go to Goa ... Goa goaaaaaaaaaaa!
This city seems beautiful, at least the pictures of the palaces along the lakes, that ye since. Erik really seems like a "Viking" with that beard, but he's fine and I imagine martinique most comfortable for the journey.

The extraordinary natural landscape of Zion National Park welcomes us in southwest Utah with a varied assortment of images of colors: the green of the lush forests in the valley, the cream of the high rock carvings (1,130 m-2,630 m), the vermilion of deep canyons, blue and dark green of the wild rivers. This rugged and picturesque park, the first and one of the most impressive in the nation, located on the north-western border liger of the Colorado Plateau, 263 km north-east of Las Vegas, is visited by three million people a year for the spectacle of its geological history dating back to 240 million years ago. The biggest attraction is the Zion Canyon from the walls in sandstone rocks by unique shades liger - cream, pink, red - that look like sand castles that tower into the sky cobalt blue. From the Temple of Sinawava, on its border, begins on Riverside Walk, a flat paved path that runs along the Virgin River. Between a frame and tall monoliths of lush vegetation, micro-habitat for numerous species of animals and varieties of plants, spend about an hour and a half to go and come back. Who is equipped trekking and ready to wade across the river from the raging currents passing over slippery rocks to more than half of the route, it can instead continue on the path most famous in the state, the Zion Narrows, along a narrow canyon by high walls, amazing for waterfalls and arches carved into the sandstone, here and there interspersed with areas of green roof. While the more experienced climbers can try their hand with great enthusiasm on the high walls between the ridges of the canyons of Zion National Park, horse riding enthusiasts and bike can proceed only in a few trips. The access roads make for excellent panoramic views, but the best ones can be enjoyed by a number of different hiking for all levels up to those demanding and require liger more days. The picturesque Emerald Pool Trail (in three different difficulty options) is among the woods, ferns and moss, numerous waterfalls and natural pools, while in the north stand the Mount Majestic and Cathedral Mountain. The 'Angels Landing Trail is steep and difficult, with the dizzying steps to peak, but from the view of Zion Canyon is spectacular. On the east side of the park you enter along the Zion Mount Carmel Highway, which passes through the Zion Mount Carmel Tunnel and ends at Mount Carmel Junction. Checkerboard Mesa impressive you come up with a strenuous trek of 4 hours, in part from the bush, while for the massive East Temple, follow the route of the famous Canyon liger Overlook liger Trail then climbs steeply to the north along staircases of red sandstone and white. Just 2 km from Interstate 15 to the north-west of the park, about 90 minutes from the south, we proceed in the region less visited Kolob Canyons, a series of scenic red rocks and quiet narrow canyons. The Verkin Creek Trail curves around a mountain where we find the Kolob Arch, one of the arches the longest in the world. Tunnel The path runs along a narrow gorge, and to have a panoramic view of the whole area, we reach the spectacular wooded plateau liger of Lava Point. Here in the West have focused the most beautiful canyons in the United States, then we could go to the north-east to the nearby Cedar Breaks National Monument, east to Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Staircase in the vicinity, south to the Pipe Spring National Monument to the northern boundary of the Grand Canyon National Park or to the south-west, to the Parashant National Monument.

The gorges of the Verdon river split the earth for 25 km, creating a distinctive and impressive Gra

WHY 'GO? My husband and I had three days available for a trip totally "do it yourself". If you have several days available you can deepen their visit to various cities and indulge in all the excursions that you can do in the area between the canyons, zermatt fields of lavender (in the period June-August), the ochres and maybe even treat yourself to a little ' relax in the beautiful French Riviera with Cannes, Nice and Monte Carlo. zermatt For a short break I can advise you to follow our route, packed zermatt with things to see, but in a few days ... so run run run! Maybe you'll be home a little 'tired but very satisfied. WHAT TO SEE? We left on Friday morning from the North of Tuscany, zermatt then in 3-4 hours we arrived at the border between Italy and France. First day:
The gorges of the Verdon river split the earth for 25 km, creating a distinctive and impressive Grand Canyon. From the village of Castellane to the village of Rougon, the Verdon river flows with emerald waters and following the winding road you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes. From the gorges of Verdon we headed to a small village that we had to be really quaint bed:
It almost seems to be in a fairy tale as you walk among the narrow streets and observe features shops selling products made from lavender, honey and the famous majolica glazed.
From this village we head towards Avignon (journey time approximately 2 hours), or rather in Le Pontet, a village a few kilometers from Avignon where we have a room booked at the hotel "FastHotel" (Avignon Nord Le Pontet). The location is very convenient as it is located just off the highway and about 10-15 minutes from Avignon Centre. It is cheap (we spent 39 euro in November in two excluding breakfast), rather spartan, the rooms are basically prefabricated housing modules but clean, with a little zermatt one bathroom and TV.
Next stop: Gordes, zermatt but first a brief stop in the beautiful zermatt town "ISLE SUR". We do not have much time to approndire the visit, but now we realize how cute is this city, crossed by several canals and characterized by old wooden water wheels covered with moss. F alvailable a car ride, a few pictures and leave again.
Roussillon is famous for its ocher-colored canyon, in fact, following the path of the ocher will be fascinated by the many shades of reddish and ocher of the earth. Recommended clothes are easy to wash and comfortable shoes and washable. For more information on dates and opening hours
From Roussilon again for AIX EN PROVENCE, where we spend the night. The hotel we chose is Ibis Aix en Provence, with an excellent value for money, about 10-15 minutes drive from the city center.
Aix is a very pretty and elegant zermatt with a very special charm. The real feature of the city are the fountains, you will find them in every corner and in every street, even the smallest (the most beautiful are the Cours Mirabeau).
You can not miss a visit to this city, especially the most famous promenade of the Riviera (Promenade des Angles), the Vieux Nice, the old town with old buildings, the old Jewish ghetto, the building of the prefecture and Cours Saleya.
A Monte Carlo arrived right in the city center, take a ride in the car, maybe even in the tunnel (part of the circuit of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, which takes place annually zermatt in Monte Carlo), the curve of the old station, one of the most famous street circuit and then there is the possibility to park in the covered parking for a fee of town (still the prices are not excessive). Also worth seeing is the harbor with many wonderful yacht and a brief visit to the Japanese gardens. zermatt
MY IMPRESSIONS TRAVEL? Provence was a really nice pool, we did not think could be so full of charm and lots of places to see. Absolutely the place we have left in the hearts of this trip was Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a village really fabulous, magical and peaceful. In a few days we've seen things, done a lot of photos and the weather was mild, but maybe the only regret is not having gone in the period of flowering lavender plants ... I think it's really a sight! WHAT TO EAT?
INGREDIENTS: ready-made puff pastry zermatt round tomato sauce mozzarella oregano extra virgin olive oil PREPARATION: Place the puff pastry on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper bucherellando the surface of the dough with the tines of a fork. In a bowl, seasoned tomato sauce with oregano and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Spread the sauce over the cake, add the mozzar

Sentinel has taken the Namba Parks from the room of his hotel, Swissotel Nankai Namba, while he was in Osaka, Japan. Namba is a shopping center and office block designed by architect Jon Jerde, who designed it where it was before the baseball stadium of the city.
In its plans, the architect has tried to recreate the atmosphere san diego zoo of an urban park, thanks to the creation of a garden on the rooftops of buildings, following the route waving and different heights. If the terraces are the parks, the vertical planes of the buildings make up the canyon, san diego zoo artificially recreating a natural environment in the city center.
Here, in addition to shops and offices, there are plenty of restaurants, ranging from Asian cuisine to European (including Italian) almost all concentrated on the 6th floor of the business center and a small amphitheater that hosts live entertainment.

Adrenaline in New Zealand: the Shotover Jet in the rocky canyons
He seems to have become one of the most popular attractions of New Zealand, but the idea of launching one pound fish a boat that glides one pound fish into a canyon does not attract me much. We are at Arthurs Point (Queenstown) and the attraction in question is called Shotover Jet.
A sort of evolution, so to speak, of the old river rafting. I am now, there are no oars and rafts to ride the rapids but there is a powerful red motorboat which runs at speed on the waters of the Shotover River. Apparently it is an unforgettable experience that takes your breath away even the acceleration of the boat would be extraordinary, as well as the steps a few inches from the rocks.

P Besides, the only way to avoid being seen by the "Big Brother" will remain inside because outside, reunion on the street, as well as a myriad of cameras filming the movements constantly, you could add the much-discussed drones spying.
The utterances of Mayor Michael Bloomberg during his usual radio program have made your hair stand on head-to-many when he said that soon the surveillance cameras already in action could be added to the drones.
The eyes of the "Big Brother" are visible and the invisible, reunion the cameras are aggregated to light poles and traffic lights at the corner of the house and the entrance to the workplace.
In short, if you have the impression of being constantly observed, the observation is correct, because only in the downtown and midtown area of City electronic eyes now no longer count. Mayor Michael Bloomberg
"Everyone wants their privacy, but I do not know if we can continue to maintain reunion it. It is a fact that we are entering a different world, not yet discovered, and like it or not - added Bloomberg - what people can do and what the government can do is different. "
How to allay the fears of those who see these little buzzing helicopters without operator on the head, Bloomberg added, "what difference does it make if the drone is in the air or in the building? I say intellectually speaking. I am struggling to see the difference. "
According to police sources, the drones are actually already in use among law enforcement agencies, both here and overseas, and the most recent operation carried out employing control drones during a protest by the police has been reported reunion recently in Poland.
According to data compiled by the New York Civil Liberties Union only in the island of Manhattan are currently serving 2,400 surveillance reunion cameras that have only one flaw: they are fixed, while the drones flying remotely controlled and can "follow" a person catching details such as the face or number plate of a car with impressive accuracy. reunion
"It is disconcerting that the mayor monsters so little sensitivity to the legitimate concerns of New Yorkers about their privacy. None of us - said Donna Lieberman of the NYCLU - is expected to go out and not be taken in the street, but we also have the right to expect that the government does not maintain a permanent record. "
The comments from people are different: who in the name of security is now willing to give up everything and those who criticizes what he calls a gross intrusion of the "Great Frtello."
When you ask people whether they are concerned about the buzz on the heads of drones, reunion the answers range from "there is no need" to "is a matter of safety," but also "is an abuse of citizens" and "an insult to privacy ". reunion
At 2,400 cameras already installed by municipalities around Manhattan, are also added in the private sector that have been integrated into the operating system of the police to create the program dubbed "ring of steel".

The Facebook attractions page of the Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, has published photos of a rare and spectacular event that has occurred twice in the space of just two days. Both Friday and Sunday, the canyon was completely attractions filled with clouds, formed by a thermal inversion. As he explained to London's Daily Mail ranger Erin Whittaker, thermal inversion occurs in average twice a year but often only results in fog and mist, or clouds fill only a part of the canyon. The park ranger said that such a thing happens more or less every ten years.
There is talk of inversion when - contrary to the norm, where as the share decreases the temperature of the air - the cold air in contact with the ground is trapped beneath the hot air above it. This phenomenon often occurs in the winter and mountain regions, when the light of the sun, because attractions of the snow that reflects and the short duration attractions of the day, it fails to sufficiently heat the Earth's surface. In this way the evening attractions the air in contact with the soil more rapidly cools the air above it. The temperature inversion limits the vertical mixing of air, causing fog and haze.
Bello. But without going into Arizona, just do a jump over the Alps to see the spectacle of the western peaks that emerge from the clouds, very frequently. I say this' cause I've been there twice in the Grand Canyon and I guarantee that some of our own landscapes have nothing to envy.
"The Grand Canyon? Yes, beautiful. There have been a couple of times. But you do not go there. The gorges of Viterbo are better. "Or maybe" The Maldives? Yes, the water was not bad. I was there the other month, attractions but if you go to Ponza is more or less the same. " No offense, but when I hear 'these phrases ...
I commented attractions on the phenomenon of low clouds, not the place itself. The geological history of the Grand Canyon 'of interest only to the world, attractions but the landscape, while grandiose and' was made mainly by the legendary American culture. To say the near Zion Canyon and 'equally spectacular, but those who know him here. And Yosemite valley eats them both for me. Maybe you do not frequent the Alps, have you ever been in Val Ferret or Pink with clear sky? Not to mention the Dolomites. Not exactly the gorges of Viterbo ... (ps. I lived in west U.S. for a bit 'of time)
I understood the meaning of the comment, but the comparison is a bit 'forced. Instead, if we begin to compare with the Grand Canyon or Zion others, makes sense. Yosemite Valley is beautiful, but as a citizen of northern Italy, accustomed to the mountain, the (albeit beautiful) landscape "Alpine-like" of the park has not left me open-mouthed as other places where we are not too accustomed to these longitudes .
The comparison holds all right, and 'This is what I mean. You're attractions used to the Alps, then you do not seem extraordinary, but instead they are, exactly as the GC. I realized only after you have personally seen some exotic landscapes "mythical" and having lived near.
Yes, we have not understood. I fully agree with your opinion, and it happened attractions to me to realize how often we remain entranced by natural beauty "foreign" without realizing that even "home" we have our similar, sometimes better (I get in mind the beaches and the sea of Sardinia). What criticized, in a completely dispassionate, the comparison was between a very particular landscape attractions as that of the GC and the Italian alpine scenery. I would not have anything to say if the comparison had been made between Yosemite and the Alps, here. That's it. Have a nice day
Mine was a general discussion. Belittle something that many would give an arm (I remember how much I spent I to go to those places but I do not regret a single euro), I find it annoying. There can be just as beautiful natural spectacles, perhaps even more, but that does not mean it is not worth going to the Grand Canyon or say go rather Alps (I miss Rose but hangs out since I was born). Especially if one has had the good fortune to have been there in those places. Your words reminded me just a "human type" that makes me a bit 'nervous
Bello. But without going into Arizona, just do a jump over the Alps to see the spectacle of the western peaks that emerge from the clouds, attractions very frequently. I say this' cause I've been there twice in the Grand Canyon and I guarantee that some of our own landscapes have nothing to envy.

There are few times when we hit photos of natural landscapes. They are all very beautiful, for heaven's sake, those encountered in the network. But only a few convince us all the way. The clouds on the bottom of the Grand Canyon is one of them.
Due to a fairly rare phenomenon (temperature inversion) the bottom of the Canyon was filled with clouds. The land has released its heat at dawn, creating a layer of cold and humid air that is trapped in the bottom of the channel. The air above was hot in an unusual way. According to experts of the park, such a thing happens once every ten years. For that, it deserves to be seen.

We have known for some time, both from the canyon we show the detailed images of the probes, and thanks to the data collected by the rovers Spirit and Opportunity, which once flowed on Mars the water. Now it is a dry and cold world: what has changed? The answer is in the atmosphere: the world does not have enough mass to hold a lot of gas around it, and what little there was was further reduced, in part by binding chemically and becoming empire state part of the compounds of the soil, but in the majority running away forever into space by the more superficial layers. For a time, however, the atmosphere must have been thick enough to warm the planet with the greenhouse effect, and thus to maintain liquid water ... and yet does not add up at all.
Climate models based primarily on Martian carbon dioxide and water vapor have never been able to replicate stable conditions compatible with liquid water on the surface. Indeed, if we consider that they formed the canyon Vallis Nanedi the Sun was about 30% less heat, no amount of CO 2 would be able to warm up the Red Planet in those conditions. Perhaps, empire state as some suggest, the heat had nothing to do with the greenhouse effect, empire state but with the rain of asteroids that in those eons was also enlivening our young planet.

With a new climate model published in the journal Nature Geoscience empire state a team of scientists empire state may have found the missing ingredient: almost four billion years ago the greenhouse effect on Mars would have been aided molecular hydrogen (H 2), in varying proportions between 5 and 20%. Molecular hydrogen is not usually treated as a greenhouse gas, but according to scientists this product from the intense volcanism at the time, would form together with the carbon dioxide the right mix to warm the planet beyond the freezing point of water.
This is what he tells us one of the latest climate models, but soon scientists will have new data to work with: the NASA probe MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution) has just been launched and its mission is precisely to clarify once and for all as has changed the atmosphere of the planet. Petra, the colorful Nabataean city in the south of Jordan, it is now famous all over the world. We have already told how it was rediscovered by the Swiss explorer Burchardt during his wanderings in the early nineteenth century. First foreigner to cross the canyon rose from the time of the Mamluk Sultan Baybars in 1200.
Samsara want to give you some advice to be able to savor the charm of this ancient city, away from the hordes of tourists unloaded from the bus looking florida keys for souvenirs and photos are always the same "middle eastern", actually produced in China! It is a practical suggestion and two routes, the first often recommended by the guides but equally not too wrought, and the second will take you to explore the most hidden recesses of the red canyons that surround the capital florida keys of the Nabataeans.
Our advice may seem trivial, but it works very well: the ticket site opens at six in the morning, but no one seems interested in going before nine. Do not miss this opportunity! The entrance to Petra is the famous Siq, a narrow gorge almost 2 km long that passes between high cliffs hundreds of meters. The magic walking it alone, with the clear light of dawn illuminates florida keys the multi-colored walls, the silence broken only by the chirping of sparrows, it is difficult to describe in words. The arrival then the facade of the Khazneh, the Treasury - yes, just what Indiana Jones - without feeling like you have stepped into a resort a little 'overcrowded, is alone worth the early rising.
The Siq in some places is only a few meters wide, imagine what it would mean to cross it with the crowd ... This pre-dawn wake-up will also allow you to continue florida keys the exploration of the red city with at least an hour ahead of the first larger groups. And "last but not least," florida keys this time it is too early for the various souvenir sellers, guides or fake, drivers donkey florida keys and all the other tourists who touts assail florida keys the valley later. Ah, do not believe the receptionist of your hotel if you say that Petra opens at seven ... We have also tried with us!
Now that you have entered the city, if you're open-mouthed in front of the grand facades carved into the rock by changing colors, we suggest you go up to the Altar of Sacrifice. It is very famous hill in the city, on top of which there is an altar with a pair of sacrificial bowls. Under the vast sky were officiated the rites of the religion Nabataean. The name is well deserved left: according to various inscriptions, as well as goats, lambs and libations, dear Nabataeans not spared some human sacrifice. Practice that was later banned when Petra became part of the Roman Empire in 106 AD From the esplanade that surrounds the altar, the view is breathtaking. You can see the whole Petra: the grand facades of the east cliff, the urn that decorates the Monastery, the Crusader castle in ruins of Al habees and the sanctuary of Aaron on top of the mountain of the same name, Jebel Haroun. The climb is easy, takes about forty minutes, and the ancient Nabataean steps are often accompanied by more modern comfortable steps.
At this point we suggest you come down from the High Place of Sacrifice for a different florida keys way: try the two obelisks squat not far from the altar and the path down soon after. This alternative route will take you to Wadi Farasa, one of the city's rivers dry, and in about an hour and a half back to the center of the main ruins.
This road runs through one of the canyon's most beautiful and least visited the site. On the way down we encountered a huge lion that served as a fountain, some magnificent ancient tombs and even a roof garden, now dry, but where you can still recognize the tanks and canals that brought water all around. florida keys All this in a quiet, shaded, so hard to find near the most central. florida keys
Head to the eastern cliff, where you will find the world-famous Silk and Urn tomb, then follow the path to the south, to the grave of Sesto Fiorentino, the Roman consul who love the city chose to be buried here instead of in the provincial capital Bosra (now in Syria). Not far from this lonely tomb begins Wadi Matha, one of the city's seasonal watercourses. But beware, this route can be traversed only from April to September.

Those who have decided eurodisney to skip the Black Friday shopping for a trip to the Grand Canyon had the opportunity to see the wonder of nature from a unique perspective. Due to a rare meteorological phenomenon, the famous eurodisney gorges of the canyon have been filled by a "river" of fog.
According to the official Facebook page of the national park, the fog was caused by 'thermal inversion'. There happens when the hot air serves as a cover to retain the cold air in the proximity of the soil. This means that all the pollution and fog are trapped and unable to get up.
These temperature changes occur on average once or twice a year, but never produce a result like that of Friday. Most inversions only fill up some parts of the canyon, or occur on cloudy days.

2013 (229) December (10) November (16) Travel in the U.S.: a hot (and cold) Updates from the USA -

After Los Angeles and the glittering Las Vegas, our journey continues towards the area of the canyon (Grand Canyon above). We used to see pictures of these places besieged penske by tursti in tank top, shorts and sunglasses, because most of the tourism arrives here in July and August, the maximum until early autumn. But we're visiting the canyon in the second half of November, the season in which it decidedly colder even in relation to LA and Vegas in this period. During penske the daytime maximum temperatures do not exceed 15 C and at night it is not uncommon penske to drop below zero (and in the winter there is often snow, so that for a period also close access), penske so you have to cover more than the previous part of the journey.
For details on the products just click on the set A slightly padded parka will do, however if you are wearing a sweater. Of comfortable jeans and suitable footwear penske are essential - and thinking of walking shoes and warm can not come to my mind that the mei-loved UGG. A shoulder bag will give way to carry what you need, without hindering the movement. Do not forget a bottle of water, because you walk a lot here and can not find a store around every corner ...
