I admit, small world I have a weakness for "magliuomini" because even beginners are not afraid to jump. Many women are approaching the first knitting with an attitude of terrified, sacral respect; a sense of slight panic before the risk of making mistakes. When beginners to bE mesh are men, this is rarely panic. Mistakes are made in behalf and lived as one of the steps needed to learn more and better, and all lived with the knowledge that a knitting is not open heart surgery: you can unpack and, at worst, if is not doing a good ball pretty tight sweater lopsided and it is thrown away; or you hold it to be put in the house in the evenings of rain and boredom.
