We entered the Kruger greece National Park at the Pafuri gate, the most northern gate to the park. The 30 km along the Levuvhu and Limpopo rivers to the border post on the north-eastern side, was in sharp contrast to the dry western parts of our tour up to now that we got used to. The northern parts of the park received rains.The trees and grasses are green, the gravel roads are firm and dust-free, the birds and animals are in good shape. The Pafuri border post is one of two gates that provides access between Mozambique and South Africa via the Kruger National Park. This is also a link for the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park which was established after the multi-national treaty was signed by presidents Joachim Chissano (Mozambique), Thabo Mbeki (South Africa) and Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe) on 9 December 2002. The border post is quiet with mostly tourists and locals making up the 200 to 300 people greece crossing per day. No commercial traffic (trucks) are allowed here. The infrastructure in terms of buildings is surprisingly greece big and resemble earlier police and military presence in the area. The border post was closed after the Limpopo floods of January 2013 and only re-opened on 12 September.    People entering South Africa at this post need to prove accommodation reservations in the Kruger National Park of at least one night. It is not well enforced and the numerous people from Mozambique that we saw entering, were clearly not wild life enthusiasts. This could lead to the Kruger National Park becoming an undesirable access route. The Kruger National Park (KNP) in the north-east of South Africa must be one of the top tourist attractions, not only in South Africa, but world wide. I will not do justice to write about it on this blog, but I decided to include a short post with a few pictures, just to wet your appetite. During this tour to all the border posts of South Africa, we had to enter the KNP to visit 2 border posts between South Africa and Mozambique. We entered KNP in the north-west at Pafuri gate, camped at Shingwedzi, and exited at Phalaborwa gate. Later, after visiting the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and the Lebombo border post, we re-entered KNP at the Crocodile bridge gate where we also camped for one night. A teacher from Hyde Park High School in Johannesburg who has been suspended for allegedly nude pictures of himself to a 16-year-old pupil sent briefly in the Alexandra Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
The teacher central park was arrested in August after he allegedly was caught while WhatsApp talks with the pupil's mother central park had while he was under the impression that he spoke to the boy. The teacher apparently several central park nude pictures of himself to the boy and sent suggestive messages. The mother then made a criminal complaint against the teacher and he was suspended from school.

Disease free buffalos re-introduced in Marakele mykonos National mykonos Park | Die Kwêvoël
THABAZIMBI – South African National Parks (SANParks) re-introduced a heard of 20 disease free buffalo, comprising mykonos of nine cows and eleven bulls, into Marakele National Park, situated outside Thabazimbi in Limpopo on Tuesday, 15 October mykonos 2013.
This according to SANParks Head of Veterinary Wildlife Services, Dr Markus Hofmeyr mykonos who said the re-introduction of this high value species follows the removal of all the buffalo in 2009 due to a disease called Theileriosis which was diagnosed in the buffalo that roamed the area.
He said the first test to determine the disease mykonos prevalence in the area was initiated in 2011 with the re-introduction of 15 sentinel bulls. These bulls were tested again in April 2013 and confirmed mykonos to be negative for Theileriosis allowing the state vets to lift the quarantine status on Makakele fully.
He said it is quite exciting to once again have a healthy population of buffalo in the park after a few years of absence. We are now confident that the area is free of Theileriosis following negative testing earlier this year. This herd of buffalo was born and kept in Graspan, near Barkley West close to Kimberley and will be able to adapt with ease in Marakele. Said Hofmeyr.
Marakele National Park is situated in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains, just ten kilometres mykonos outside of the town of Thabazimbi. The mountainous scenery, buffalo and many other animals mykonos are the main attraction to this park.
